WBN Membership

In the Women's Business Network, you'll find a diverse and dynamic group of over 150 women who are business owners, commissioned sales people or managers. Members encompass a broad range of expertise and represent all segments of the business community.

Membership Criteria

A member is a woman who embraces the mission statement of the WBN and who works full time in a privately held or publicly traded enterprise in any one of or a combination of the following capacities:

• owns her own business;
• earns at least 50% of her income from commissions or
• holds a senior decision-making position. The scope of her authority must include at least one of the following;
  • direct impact on profitability of the organization
  • responsibility for productivity of subordinates
  • responsibility for business development
  • responsibility for a significant portion of the organization’s clients or customers

Associate Member: An associate member is a woman who embraces the mission statement of the WBN and who works full time in a senior decision making position in a publicly funded organization which can include but is not limited to hospitals, educational institutions, crown corporations, not for profit organizations and government.  The scope of her authority must include at least one of the following:

•  decisions directly related to the budget or bottom line of the organization
•  responsibility for the productivity of subordinates
•  plays a significant role in day to day operations
